Location: Rochester, NY
Description: Bero Architecture P.C. prepared condition reports, feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and construction documents for various phases of the development of the support infrastructure for this National Historic Landmark. Work included adaptive reuse of the Hanna Anthony house to house exhibition space, a gift shop, offices, and collection storage space; providing handicapped accessibility; and installing landscaping and appropriate fencing along the perimeter of the property. To minimize its visual impact, the visitors’ center meeting room was designed to resemble neighborhood carriage barns.
